North Carolina Man Scheduled For June Trial in Virginia Bus Crash that Killed Four

Zhao Jian Chen of Greensboro, North Carolina plead not guilty this week on four counts of involuntary manslaughter. His trial is scheduled to begin on June 18 in Caroline County Circuit Court. Chen was the bus dispatcher for Sky Express who told driver Kin Yiu Cheung that he had to keep driving, despite being to tired to continue.

Cheung’s bus later crashed while passing through Viginia, north of Richmond on I-195 while on his way from North Carolina to Washington, DC’s China Town resulting in four deaths and 54 injuries.

Cheung himself faces involuntary manslaughter charges in Virginia with a trial set to begin later this month.
