Virginia Teen Leads Police on a Chase in Prince William County, is Charged With Reckless Driving

Livening up the afternoon for early departing commuters, an Alexandria teen is facing reckless driving charges, among others after a high speed chase on I-66. The need, who has not yet been named, reportedly stole a Mercedes in Fairfax County on Monday afternoon.

He was stopped by  Trooper D.J. Presson for an HOV violation, westbound on I-66 in Prince William, County but the teen then sped away leading the officer on a chase that let off of and then back on to I-66. In all three Virginia State Police vehicles were smacked by the fleeing mercedes before the teen was finally stopped.  Neither the teens nor the troopers were injured.

The teen was subsequently charged with the aforementioned reckless driving as well as driving on a revoked license, possession of a stolen vehicle and felony eluding.
